CMOS-Based Galvanic Digital Isolator
Galvanic isolation is a principle of isolating electrical systems wherein it blocks the DC current flow (i.e. there is no direct conduction path). Isolation is the ability to couple one circuit to another without the use of direct wire connections. This technique is commonly used in two or more electric circuits that must communicate, but their grounds are at different potentials. It is an effective method to prevent unwanted current from flowing two units sharing a conductor. Its purpose is for safety by preventing accidental currents from reaching ground through a person’s body. This design features Silicon Labs' SI8642 CMOS digital isolator, which is a low cost, high performance, low power, and reliable isolated circuit. Read more

Simple Switcher Power Module
The power modules are widely found in devices today, these are used in conversion of energy. The LMZ36002 is a synchronous buck power module that has a 2A DC-DC converter. It is capable of having a small footprint and a low profile design, while still able to adjust the key parameters to meet the required design. The designed circuit is an evaluation module for the LMZ36002, so it would have an easy to use platform in showing the correct usage and the performance of the device. It has a wide output voltage that can be adjusted from 2.5V to 7.5V. The switching frequency also can be adjusted from 200kHz to 1MHz. Read more

Wireless Power Transmitter Analog Front End
Nowadays, wireless power charging has become more and more common among mobile devices. Due to its widespread use, Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) created the Qi standard. This Qi interface standard is created for inductive electrical power transfer over distances of up to 4cm. The Qi system is used by placing the mobile device on top of the power transmission pad. It charges the mobile device via resonant inductive coupling. This project is a design of a wireless power transmitter analog front end. It contains all of the analog components required to implement a WPC compliant 5-V transmitter. Read more

Low-Cost Flexible Voltage Supervisor and Battery Tester
Batteries are common power source for any electronic components. Preventing it from draining too much below its nominal voltage will help to prolong its lifespan. This reference design is low-cost voltage supervisor and battery tester. It implements the monitoring of multiple, user defined voltage rails while reducing the overall system cost. The main component TLV61225 is a single-cell high-efficient step-up converter that provides power supply solution to products that being powered by a dry cell or up to two Alkaline, NiCd, or NiMH cells with a typical terminal voltage from 0.7 V to 3.3 V and can output 3.3-V voltage. The ATL431 is three-terminal adjustable shunt regulator that provides a 2.5 V output for the resistor ladder. The reference design also incorporates the TPD1E10B06 and TPS27081A, which are single channel ESD transient voltage suppression diode and a high-side load switch used also for ESD protection, respectively. The board also had the LM339, a quad differential comparator that is designed for single power supply.Read more

High Amperage Power Supply Plugs
The electronic devices become more compact. This is due to the creation of external power supply allowing the devices to require smaller space for its main board. The design is a high amperage power supply that can produce up to 10A current output. It is able to provide more than industry-standard power capability. The removal of cooling system and some internal power apparatus is approved by UL standards. Read more

5V Qi wireless charger for A11 Qi coils
The technologies today are rapidly advancing, the day that charging your smartphones wirelessly is here. The convenience of charging your phone without plugging a cable into it is one of the advantages of wireless charging technology. The difference between wired and wirelessly charging may be minimal but the comfort, speed, usability of it can matter in situations. The Wireless charging technology works on the principles of electromagnetic induction. The coil in the charging plate or base creates a magnetic field as current passes through. The field created will induce an electromotive force (EMF) that produces electrical current in an adjacent coil of wire without actually touching it.

Ultra-low-power Energy Harvester and Battery Charger
The electronic gadgets are the most popular devices that are being used by everyone today, and how it is quickly drained up is the most common problem. The circuit as shown in the reference design is the STEVAL-ISV09V1, which is an evaluation board for SPV1050. The SPV1050 is a transformerless thermoelectric generators and PV modules energy harvester, comes with high efficiency for any harvesting source and has a maximum of 70mA maximum battery charging current. It also allows to charge any type of battery which includes thin film batteries which need proper monitoring provision of the length of charging and voltage level of batteries to ensure that battery life is preserve.Read more
