IO-Link Device Transceiver
The IO-Link is a compliant of International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC 61131-9) standard. It is the standard for single-drop digital communication interface for small sensors and actuators. Furthermore, IO-link is a 24-V communications interface that allows smart sensors and actuators to exchange advanced configuration, status and diagnostics information using a powerful, yet simple protocol. It specifies point-to-point communication over a maximum distance of 20m using standard M5/M8/M12 connectors and 3/4/5 wire cables. The IO-Link masters provide communication over standard fieldbuses, such as Ethernet, RS485, etc., with any IO-Link device (smart sensor or actuator). Low-Power Buffered Voltage-Output DAC
A digital-to-analog converter (DAC) converts digital data into an analog signal in terms of either current or voltage output. Nowadays, most DACs are implemented as integrated circuits. This reference design utilizes the DAC8562, which is a 16-bit, dual, low power, ultra-low glitch, buffered voltage output DAC. This IC includes a 2.5V, 4-ppm/°C internal reference, giving a full-scale output voltage range of 2.5V or 5V. The internal reference has an initial accuracy of ±5mV and can source or sink up to 20mA at the VREFIN/VREFOUT pin. This converter can operate up to 50MHz. Read more
