Offline LED Driver

This design is a simple nonisolated LED driver that is intended to operate directly from a 400VDC input. It can basically drive a string of 27 white LEDs or 6 amber LEDs at 400mA. It uses the MAX16801 high brightness LED driver control that is well suited for universal input (rectified 85VAC to 265VAC) LED drivers. It features an input undervoltage lockout (UVLO) for programming the input-supply start voltage, and to ensure proper operation during brownout conditions and has has an internal-bootstrap undervoltage lockout circuit with a large hysteresis that simplifies offline LED driver designs. Read more

Low-Power Buffered Voltage-Output DAC

A digital-to-analog converter (DAC) converts digital data into an analog signal in terms of either current or voltage output. Nowadays, most DACs are implemented as integrated circuits. This reference design utilizes the DAC8562, which is a 16-bit, dual, low power, ultra-low glitch, buffered voltage output DAC. This IC includes a 2.5V, 4-ppm/°C internal reference, giving a full-scale output voltage range of 2.5V or 5V. The internal reference has an initial accuracy of ±5mV and can source or sink up to 20mA at the VREFIN/VREFOUT pin. This converter can operate up to 50MHz. Read more

Fingerprint Drawer Lock

An electromechanical solenoid is a device that uses electrical energy to produce linear motion. It consists of a coil with a slug of metal in the middle. When current passes through the coil, the slug is pulled into the center of the coil, which makes it possible for the solenoid to pull from one end. An example of this is a lock-style solenoid. Nowadays, lock-style solenoids are used as smart locks. They are used to lock and unlock doors, cabinets, drawers, etc., by pressing a button on a remote control or a button on a smartphone. However, in this project, the lock-style solenoid is used to lock/unlock a drawer by using a fingerprint.Read more

The mobile phone is one of the most electronic device today. It continue to be developed that some of them are build with sophistication. However, the major purpose of the device stay the same, it is to communicate to other people that has the device. In the communication, the device uses a microphone as the receiver of the voice information or any sound information. In this design, it features a SiSonic microphone that has high Signal-to-Noise Ratio(SNR) while maintaining matched sensitivity. It is in a small package with omnidirectional and flat frequency response features that can be integrated to different applications.

5V Qi wireless charger for A11 Qi coils

The technologies today are rapidly advancing, the day that charging your smartphones wirelessly is here. The convenience of charging your phone without plugging a cable into it is one of the advantages of wireless charging technology. The difference between wired and wirelessly charging may be minimal but the comfort, speed, usability of it can matter in situations. The Wireless charging technology works on the principles of electromagnetic induction. The coil in the charging plate or base creates a magnetic field as current passes through. The field created will induce an electromotive force (EMF) that produces electrical current in an adjacent coil of wire without actually touching it.

Open Loop Magnetic Field Sensing Evaluation Module

A magnetic field sensor is an electromechanical device that is used for detecting and measuring magnetic fields. This device is designed for single-axis magnetic field-sensing applications. It enables electrically isolated, high-sensitivity, and precise DC and AC field measurements. The fluxgate sensors offer significantly higher sensitivity, lower drift, lower noise, and high linearity and enables up to 1000-times better accuracy of the measurement. This device provides an integrated fluxgate sensor (IFG) with an internal compensation coil to support a high-accuracy sensing range of ±2mT with a measurement bandwidth of up to 47kHz. Read More
